Photography has always been something that interested me, thought it wasn't until recently that I got into it more. I've always used my phone to snapshot moments in time that I wanted to remember, and now through my schooling, I'm able to make these moments even better.

Grave of the Holy

Tucked away behind unruly bushes in the back of a cemetary, I found a mausoleum with no windows, no markings, just a cross on the stone door. My initial thought was that someone from the Church was buried here, and that they shouldn't be forgotten just because time has hidden them away. I wanted to catch the sun baring down on us, illuminate how this soul is still here, forever entomed in stone.

Early Bloomer

In early spring, the plants come to life, sprouting from the ground to see the sun once more. On one of my walks, I happened across this tulip; the first one to be brave enough and bloom. Brace the cool morning air and let the world see that winter is gone. Through editing in Photoshop, I was able to fully emphasize the tulip using a black and white mask as well as a focal point in the back.

Triple Shot

I went searching for something to photograph, something whimsical, cute. When I was rummaging through out basement, I found a small music box with a carousel on top. With a quick edit, I duplicated the carousel in different colors to give it a fractured look.

When it comes to photography, I find my best shots are always in the moment, when I never have professional equipment to take the photo. So I usually end up taking them with my phone. Because of this, I enjoy having a theme with my photos, so I build specific filters for them in photoshop. Each one of these have been taken on an iPhone 17 Pro Max.
